Construction is underway on a major transit-oriented development in Fair Lawn that will bring new residential units and a grocery store to the borough.
Plaza Green, a single-building, age-restricted community designed for active adults 55 and older, is slated to open in winter 2028. Located adjacent to the NJ TRANSIT station, the four-story building blends classic and contemporary design elements, featuring traditional brick detailing alongside 145 residential units and secure underground parking.
The ground floor will be anchored by a Sprouts Farmers Market, which is scheduled to open ahead of the residential units. Additionally, the development includes 1,800 square feet of unassigned retail space.
