Overnight rain wraps up to a nice day. Highs in the mid-80s with some rising humidity. There will be a mix of sun and clouds today with comfortable conditions overall.
Tomorrow will be rainy from 5 a.m. through 5 p.m. in most of the state. The worst of the rain will be in central and southern zones. North Jersey will experience rain, but it will be more broken and scattered than the heavier rain south.
Conditions can improve after 3/4 p.m. north with it lingering a bit longer south. The sun may make an appearance through a break in the overcast just before sunset as the sky clears from north to south through the late evening. Highs on Saturday will be near 83 degrees.
Sunday is better, fresh and pleasant with highs near 80. There will be a partly sunny to partly cloudy sky.
A heat wave arrives next week with highs in the 90s, reaching as high as 100 degrees by Thursday with hot, hazy, and humid conditions.
Spot thunderstorms are possible on a few of the days due to the overall heat and humidity that lingers in the state.
Air quality becomes a concern midweek, too.
