A Lindenwold man has been charged with attempted murder in connection with a stabbing that left another man hospitalized Wednesday afternoon, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.
Sean Hammonds, 34, faces charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault and weapons offenses.
Lindenwold police responded to Sussex Drive and Ashbourne Avenue around 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, and found a 34-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was taken to Cooper University Hospital and was reported to be in stable condition.
Investigators said surveillance footage showed Hammonds leaving his home, attacking the victim and returning to his residence. Detectives later recovered a knife with suspected blood on it from Hammonds' home.
Authorities said Hammonds and the victim knew each other from the neighborhood.
Hammonds was arrested at his home and taken to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing.
