If you're a fan of all things brined, this is your chance to relish the moment. In less than two weeks, the Teaneck Armory will transform into the state's first-ever festival dedicated entirely to pickles.
Pickle Palooza is scheduled to take place on April 25 from 12 to 7 p.m., with VIP entry at 11 a.m. Produced by MegaBite Events, the festival will feature dozens of pickle vendors offering everything from traditional to specialty pickled items, along with live music, pickle-themed games, a kids adventure zone, food trucks, and artisan vendors.
"Pickles aren’t just a side in the Northeast—they’re a full-blown obsession, and New Jersey proudly ranks among the top states for pickle consumption," the organizer said in a press release. "From deli sandwiches to late-night cravings, pickles have earned their place as a fan favorite across the Garden State. The U.S. consumes more than 5.2 million pounds of pickles each year, and New Jersey’s farms help keep the supply — and the cravings — going strong."
Those who plan to attend the festival are encouraged to dress as Pickle Kings and Pickle Queens.
"For the first time in New Jersey, Pickle Palooza will crown official festival royalty — individuals who embody the fun, enthusiasm, and community spirit of the event," the organizer said, adding that the winners will take home pickle-themed prizes.
