An overturned tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike caused traffic delays through much of the morning in the Cranbury area.
The overnight crash involved an overturned tractor-trailer and a vehicle fire off the roadway a couple of miles before the Molly Pitcher Service Area in the northbound truck lanes, according to the NJ Department of Transportation. Traffic leading up to the crash was backed up for at least a mile by about 2:45 a.m., with delays continuing through the morning commute. Traffic in the outer roadway was busier than usual due to the car lanes being closed for construction.
Earlier this morning, crews could be seen spraying water on the fire to control the flames.
There's no word yet on any injuries or the extent of the damage.
