An Iranian American mother from Westport says she hasn't been able to reach her family in Iran since the military strikes by the United States and Israel.
Kami Naraghi Evans says she's been trying to reach her relatives in Iran since the airstrikes in the region were first reported around 2 a.m. Saturday.
"I have about 40 relatives in Iran and I'm terrified at the moment because we have no idea if they're living or dead," Evans said.
"I've been trying and trying to get through, but no luck," Evans said.
Evans says there's no embassy presence in Iran to provide emergency services.
She says anybody who has family in Iran should register with the U.S. State Department, which is tracking the situation and working to connect Americans with family in Iran.
