Gov. Mikie Mikie Sherrill is urging New Jersey residents to conserve water as the statewide Drought Warning remains in effect.

As the warmer months approach, the Department of Environmental Protection is monitoring the current water supply through its four-tiered system that tracks the state's status.

If conditions don’t improve, the next step would be a declaration of a drought Emergency, which would require mandatory restrictions.
