The '20-minute miracle' that saved a wedding
A bride's wedding day was nearly derailed when she left her wedding dress behind on an NJ Transit train just hours before her ceremony.
After the bride-to-be left the train and headed to catch a flight to her wedding, she realized she didn't have her dress. According to NJ Transit officials, the woman raced to contact employees, desperate to get the dress back.
"With her ceremony just hours away, our crews across the system jumped into action—tracking the train, coordinating in real time, and searching cars before they reached the next stop," NJ Transit said in a statement on social media.
Their efforts paid off when the missing dress was located and swiftly transported back to the airport. The gown arrived before the bride's departure, ensuring she could make her flight and continue on to her wedding as planned.
NJ Transit says the successful recovery highlighted the dedication of its employees.
“Today, our team pulled off a 20‑minute miracle," NJ Transit officials said. "This is a great example of employees going above and beyond for our customers. Thanks to the teamwork and commitment of crews across the system, a bride was reunited with her wedding dress in time for her big day.”
