Surveillance footage from a 2025 crash that killed a Lindenwold man has been made public in connection with an ongoing investigation, according to the Attorney General’s Office.
The Office of Public Integrity and Accountability released the recordings Tuesday as part of its policy on fatal encounters involving law enforcement.
The footage relates to the Nov. 9, 2025, death of 42‑year‑old Jose Martinez, also known as Jose M. Martinez‑Peguero.
Investigators say West Deptford police were responding to a report of two intoxicated males around 6 p.m.
Patrolman Conor Goggin attempted to stop a vehicle matching the description given to dispatch, but the driver sped away. The fleeing vehicle ran a traffic signal at Hessian and Red Bank Avenues and crashed into Martinez’s car, killing him. A passenger in his vehicle suffered a leg fracture.
Authorities identified the fleeing driver as 24‑year‑old George Linard.
Initial warrants listed another name because investigators say Linard provided a fraudulent driver’s license at the scene.
A Gloucester County grand jury has indicted Linard on two counts of first‑degree aggravated manslaughter, second‑degree death by auto, four counts of second‑degree aggravated assault and one count of fraudulent possession of a government license.
Family representatives were given the chance to review the footage before its release.
The Attorney General’s Office says the investigation remains active.
