Somerset Patriots fans came to the ballpark ready for baseball and they brought teddy bears with them.
The team collected more than 1,000 stuffed animals as part of a National Teddy Bear donation drive.
Fans answered the call, filling the ballpark with teddy bears that will be donated to the New Jersey State Police Benevolent Association.
The stuffed animals will then be given to children involved in crisis situations.
It’s a big show of support from baseball fans in Somerset County, helping bring some comfort to children when they need it most.
