Belford ferry riders are getting new morning and evening options beginning today as NY Waterway adjusts its schedule.

A new 5:15 a.m. ferry will depart Belford on Mondays, while evening commuters will get an additional 6:15 p.m. departure from Pier 79.

Another change moves the previous 6:30 a.m. Belford departure to 6:20 a.m. each morning.

The changes come after hundreds of riders signed a petition raising concerns about NY Waterway’s service since Monmouth County awarded the company the Belford contract, replacing Seastreak.

NY Waterway says it has been listening to riders and believes the schedule adjustments will better serve commuters and address concerns raised by Monmouth County leaders.
