Crews removed a garbage truck that had been stuck on the roof of a Clifton Apartment Complex parking deck for over a week.
An Interstate IWS Trash truck was lodged into the pavement of the Country Club Towers apartment building on Hepburn Road in Clifton a week ago Monday, according to tenants.
Clifton police say the incident took place on July 27 just before 3 p.m.
The complex is located just across the street from the entrance to Upper Montclair Country Club.
It appears the driver mistakenly drove the truck, which is estimated to weigh between 20,000 and 40,000 pounds, onto the parking deck, despite a clearly posted sign prohibiting vehicles weighing more than 8,000 pounds.
No injuries have been reported.
