Two pedestrians were hit by a car in Upper Freehold Township on Saturday morning. One, a minor, was killed.
New Jersey State Police say it happened in a parking lot on Emleys Hill Road at 11:07 a.m.
A Chrysler SUV was backing out of a parking space when it struck a 66-year-old woman from Roselle Park and an unidentified child.
The woman was seriously injured and taken to a hospital. The child later died from their injuries.
State Police are investigating the crash.
