The annual Cherry Blossom 10K run is happening this weekend at Branch Brook Park in Newark.

On Sunday, hundreds of participants and spectators will celebrate 50 years of racing among the iconic landscape.

"It's beautiful here today and the trees are gorgeous. It's so exciting to see so many different varieties. We've enjoyed every minute," said Barbra Andreys, of Newark.

"We've been blessed with a blue sky and sun and nice spring weather to enjoy all this beauty around us. It's wonderful to be here," said Newark resident Sharron Miller.

The run begins Sunday at 10 a.m.
