An Apple AirTag led first responders to find a man who went missing on Thursday in Hudson County.
NJ Transit officials say that the man’s Apple AirTag pinged around 8:40 a.m. Friday and led first responders to the area of the 9th Street light rail station in Jersey City.
NJ Transit police officers, along with the Hoboken Fire Department, found the man 40 feet down in an icy ravine. Officials say he was too injured to move and had been exposed to freezing temperatures for several hours.
Body camera video shows first responders hosing the man up onto Paterson Plank Road using a rope rescue system.
The man was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries. He is expected to recover.
