A five-vehicle crash involving two commercial dump trucks, two passenger vehicles and a school bus caused a chain-reaction collision on N. Tuckahoe Road in Williamstown.

Police say a dump truck was traveling northbound when it failed to see traffic that had stopped for another school bus.

The truck struck the back of a passenger vehicle carrying one adult and three juveniles, setting off a chain reaction involving the other vehicles.

One juvenile became trapped inside a vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters.

Twelve juveniles and two adults were taken to area hospitals for evaluation and treatment. All have either been released or remain in stable condition with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
