Two men were arrested Friday in connection with a series of recent South Plainfield vehicle burglaries.

Police say Eaton Brown and Daren Duran-Funez were apprehended during a “targeted enforcement operation” prompted by a rise in local reports.

Officers increased patrols in neighborhoods experiencing the highest concentration of incidents.

Brown is charged with burglary, theft, motor vehicle theft, criminal attempted burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary.

Duran-Funez is charged with criminal attempted burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary.

South Plainfield police believe there may be more victims. They urge anyone with additional information to call the department as soon as possible.
