Breathtaking images of the Milky Way are offering a final highlight as the Artemis II astronauts make their way back to Earth following a record‑breaking mission.
NASA says the four astronauts are expected to splash down in the Pacific Ocean tomorrow, marking the end of their journey to the far side of the moon.
During the mission, the crew captured striking photographs showing the Milky Way galaxy, filled with stars, clouds of dust and gas, and a massive black hole at its center.
NASA shared the images as part of the mission’s highlights from deep space.
Crew members said they have many more photos and stories to share once they safely return home.
