FORECAST:
It is mostly cloudy with sprinkles scattered across New Jersey today. High temperatures struggle to reach 70 degrees today in most places.
There will be a warmer day tomorrow, but still mostly cloudy. There is likely to be some more breaks of sun tomorrow as temperatures push to near 77 degrees.
A passing round of moderate to heavy rain is expected overnight into Wednesday pre-dawn. Wednesday will still be mostly cloudy with sunny breaks that last a bit longer. These sunny breaks allow temperatures to push near 89 degrees in parts of the state. Passing showers are possible at the end of the day.
The sky clears into Thursday, where it will be hot. Highs reach near 93 degrees, and the humidity will be higher as well. Thunderstorms are expected as a result after 3 p.m.
The sky clears again for the weekend, allowing Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to finally be good days for a change. Temperatures will be summerly in the mid-80s, reaching 90 on Sunday.
A heat wave is becoming likely for the next week with highs that make a run for near 100 degrees by next Tuesday, June 24 - the first time since last summer on Aug 1, 2024.
