A man wanted for a fatal shooting in Puerto Rico has been arrested in New Jersey, authorities said.​
Juan Alberto Bordonada-Laureano, 30, was taken into custody March 11 in Keasbey by members of the U.S. Marshals, working with the New Jersey State Police and Woodbridge Police Department.​
Authorities said Bordonada-Laureano was wanted in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred in February.​
Investigators with the Puerto Rico Police Department’s Arecibo Criminal Investigation Unit, along with the U.S. Marshals Puerto Rico Violent Fugitive Task Force, determined he had fled to New Jersey.​
Officers located him at a residence in Keasbey and arrested him without incident, police said.​
Bordonada-Laureano is being held at the Middlesex County Jail pending extradition to Puerto Rico.​
