NJ Transit rail service faced significant delays Monday because of an Amtrak track condition in one of the Hudson River tunnels.
The transit agency said trains are still subject to delays of up to 20 minutes into and out of New York Penn Station as of 5 p.m. Monday evening.
Trains were delayed up to 60 minutes on Monday morning. Midtown Direct trains were diverted to Hoboken.
The disruption affected most of NJ Transit’s rail system. The Atlantic City Rail Line and Princeton Dinky were listed as operating on time Monday morning.
Individual trains were also canceled as a result of the disruption.
NJ Transit did not immediately say when normal service was expected to resume.
