Multiple shots fired at Rochelle Park home
Several bullets struck a home in Bergen County as gunfire rang out late Monday night.
According to Rochelle Park Police Chief Dean Pinto, dispatchers were contacted at about 10:35 p.m. by callers reporting that gunshots were fired at a home.
"Upon the patrol officers' arrival, they discovered multiple rounds had been fired at the home from a four-door sedan," Pinto told News 12.
The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office confirmed the house was occupied at the time of the shooting. Ballistic evidence was recovered from the scene, authorities said.
Caution tape could be seen blocking off the area over night, but the tape had been removed by early this morning.
Pinto said units from the Rochelle Park Detective Bureau, the Bergen County Sheriff's Office and Bergen County Prosecutor's Office all responded along with mutual aid from the Maywood and Paramus police departments.
The case remains under investigation.
