Feb. 9 marked National Pizza Day. To celebrate the occasion, Monmouth County leaders are promoting a new social media campaign to promote local pizzerias.

The effort is called “Slice in Monmouth.”

"With the Super Bowl being just yesterday, you know we had a crazy busy time…If you don't make it out for National [Pizzas] Day, there's 364 other days a year that we're open to serve you,” says Lino Romeo, owner of Romeo’s Italian American Pizza in Freehold.
