"Lucy the Elephant," a New Jersey landmark that has been around since the 1800s, will receive a major upgrade so it can be around for generations to come.

The Margate City attraction will get a new visitor center, a surrounding park and will undergo some restoration work.

Margate City received a $5.4 million tax credit from the state.
