A Red Bank student was named a finalist in a New York City talent contest.
Catholic student Avery Rose Owens was chosen as one of just 20 finalists in the Junior Starduster Competition at New York City's famous Ellen's Stardust Diner.
She was selected from more than 300 applicants from around the world.
Owens performed in front of a panel of Broadway professionals.
