An Atlantic City man has been sentenced to a year in prison after admitting to assaulting a police officer and making threats in a separate incident.

Prosecutors say Nashid Seymor pleaded guilty last week. Authorities say he head-butted a police officer after being arrested following a fight.

In a separate case, prosecutors say Seymor threatened people on the street with a knife.

Seymor was sentenced to one year in prison.
