A Plainfield man with autism has now been missing for 12 days. His family is pleading for anyone with information to come forward.
Connor Oldfield, 19, was last seen around 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 24. Videos from neighbors' security cameras show Oldfield leaving the house wearing pajamas. He was seemingly in a hurry.
His family says he did not bring any of his belongings or an ID with him. They say they have no idea where he may have gone.
The family says it is very unlike Oldfield to wander off on his own.
"Based on what happened with how he left the home, someone else is involved. Someone else had to gain his trust because he's not just a friendly person who will go up and speak to a stranger,” says Oldfield’s mother, Stephanie Senior. “So, my theory is that someone had to somewhat invite him out, whether it's on a good term or a bad term, because he wouldn't just be up and leaving the house like that."
Senior says that if anyone has information but is uncomfortable speaking with the police, they should also contact any local hospital or school to pass information along.
