A 45-year-old man from Evesham is facing charges for sexually assaulting a young girl, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office.

Authorities say he was taken into police custody and brought to Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly on May 11.

The investigation began after a relative of the victim contacted law enforcement officials to report the assault.
