FORECAST:
Unsettled weather lingers this week as periods of rain move through. Today's rain will be heavier than Tuesday, but it will begin to taper this afternoon. Showers will be more scattered this afternoon versus this morning. Highs today will be in the upper 60s.
Tomorrow's weather is slightly improved, even though it is unsettled with a mostly cloudy sky and small/brief breaks of sun. Showers may develop and pass through, but it overall will be an OK day.
Friday and Saturday turn more summerly with increased humidity levels and passing thunderstorms. A line of thunderstorms is possible on Friday morning, but most weaken as they approach New Jersey. As temperatures surge to the lower 80s on Friday afternoon, it will feel like summer. There could be a spot thunderstorm or two in the evening in northwestern New Jersey on Friday night.
The same pattern comes through for Saturday with the heat and humidity, but late day thunderstorms may form on Saturday, too. This will lower the humidity and heat for early next week, which returns the weather to a more spring-like and comfortable pattern.
