A River Edge man is facing charges after authorities say he attempted to sexually assault a juvenile inside a Hackensack business.

The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said Veera M. Bommireddy, 32, was arrested May 13 in Hackensack.

Authorities said Bommireddy had supervisory or disciplinary power over the victim when he attempted to sexually assault the female juvenile.

Bommireddy was charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual contact and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail, made a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court and was released pending further court action.
